New Jersey under a lease with the City of New York since
June 1, 1947. With 35 million people expected to use JFK
annually by the turn of the century, getting to, from, and
through the airport must be as easy as possible.
Dazzling new terminals are
being built and existing terminals are being modernized and
expanded to provide premium service to the more than 100
airlines that operate from JFK. Passengers will enjoy a more
efficient, secure and positive travel experience. There are
approximately 18 miles from Midtown Manhattan to JFK Airport
and it takes 35-90 minutes to travel. Times provided depend
on the traffic conditions and the daytime.
