The airport has been operated by The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey under a lease with the City of New York since June 1, 1947. There are approximately 9 miles from Midtown Manhattan to La Guardia Airport and it takes 20-45 minutes to travel. Times provided depend on the traffic conditions and the daytime.

LaGuardia Airport is located in the Borough of Queens, New York City, bordering on Flushing Bay and Bowery Bay. It is eight miles from midtown Manhattan.

Public Parking Rates at LGA
Daily Parking Parking Garage & Lots 1, 4, 5, 6, 7

• $2 up to first half hour
• $4 for up to 2 hours of parking
• $2 for every hour or part thereafter
• Maximum rate is $24.00 for a 24-hour period
  

These lots can be used for up to 30 days parking at the posted daily rate. No long-term reduced rates are offered in our daily parking lots.

Long-Term Reduced Rate Parking (Lot 3 Only)
First 24 hours

• $2 up to the first half hour or part
• $4 up to 2 hours $2 per hour or part thereafter
• $24 maximum first 24 hours Over First 24 hours
• $2 per hour or part thereafter $10 maximum each 24 hours
  

The lot has a limited number of parking spaces and, as with all of our parking lots, parking is on a first come basis. Should Parking Lot 3 be full when you arrive at the airport, there are alternate off airport long-term parking lots located very close to the airport. Just follow the "P" signs to the airport exit
