There are three terminals at Newark Airport: Terminal A, Terminal B and Terminal C.
Each terminal has an upper departures level with facilities for airline ticketing; a lower arrivals level for airline baggage claim and ground transportation; and a ground level extending under the arrivals and departures roadways and the main building itself. Terminal A with 27 gates and Terminal B with 23 gates branch out to three circular satellite aircraft gate buildings designated as A-1, A-2, A-3 and B-1, B-2, B-3 respectively. International arrival gates are located in the B2 and B3 Satellites.

Departing international flights may leave from Terminals A, B or C.
